Drums / Vocals: Bernard was born in Buckinghamshire, an ex. national service Para and has lived in Spain for 8 years. Bernard has been playing drums for over 50 years and has a wealth of experience as a touring musician and session drummer. Bernard toured all over England in the late 60’s with the Riff Organisation and has featured on many recordings. Bass / Vocals: Neil was born in Scotland has been playing guitar since the age of 14 and formed his first group, a skiffle group, in 1956. By 1960 Neil was touring with names such as Lulu, Sandy Shaw, Alan Price, The Hollies, Big Three and other top names of the day throughout the UK. Neil was also a session musician with many of the big Scots bands as well as 5 years touring with the Tommy Sampson Big Band. Neil has lived in Spain for 6 years.
Guitar / Vocals / Front man / Technician: Brian or “Baz” to his mates was born in Chelmsford, Essex .In his many incarnations Baz has been the world champion Carrot thrower, an all in wrestler, a graphic artist (specialising in pictures of famous faces such as HM Queen, Isaac Newton, Florence Nightingale and many others) Baz also used his experience as a Graphic artist to produce the bands posters and huge stage backdrop. A busy guy, Baz is also the lighting specialist as well as playing the guitar and doing vocals.
Rhythm Guitar / Vocals): Russell was born in Salisbury, Rhodesia. A professional photographer specialising in property photography, landscapes, portraits and other subjects on the coast and around the Andalucía area. Russell plays rhythm guitar and vocals. Russ has lived in Spain for over 7 years. The band also includes Maureen and Vera, the better half’s of Neil and Baz, who organise the raffles, record sales and other band promotions. The Ancient Britons recently went into Lime Kiln Recording Studio to record their new album “253 years later” which features such hits as “Wonderful tonight” “Blueberry Hill” and many others. This CD is available for €5 at any of the bands gigs.
